Totems  Mixed media unique
A fascination with the Australian Aboriginal culture lies behind David Fitzgerald's Totems.
Interested in exploring 3-dimensional forms, the sculptural columns are covered in lithographic and screenprinted images that draw on the illustrative traditions of Dreaming.
A dialogue is opened up between each totem, that narrates a story, both ancient and modern, of the natural world and the influx of western ideas and goods.
